Within the IT training industry, the Institute of IT Training is driving standards with world-leading qualifications.

All of the Institute's current certifications and diplomas are based around the Trainer Assessment Programme (TAP®) methodology, which was pioneered by the Institute and won the Queen's Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category in 2005. The TAP® methodology and the courses that provide the competencies for the Institute certificates are owned and conducted solely by The Training Foundation.

The Trainer Assessment Programme (TAP®) is a measurable and objective methodology, against which a trainer's performance across a range of skills can be assessed. Full details can be found on The Training Foundation's TAP® website. Note: The Training Foundation exclusively provides the courses in which attendees may qualify for the Institute certificates and diplomas. The company is not owned by or part of the Institute.
